Roma are keen to sign rarely used defender Vlad Chiriches from Tottenham and could push the deal through by offering Mattia Destro. This could be good for Tottenham who have struggled to find another source of goals. Although the striker has been linked to Milan and Arsenal, Roma would prefer to send the forward out of Italy and Arsenal do not have an available defender of interest.
The interesting key to this whole transfer tangle is whether Spurs can sign another defender.
In steps Munoz from Palermo. The defender is available on a free in the summer and available to discuss a contract with Tottenham without a transfer fee. If Levy is able to broker a deal with the player first he is likely to agree a nominal fee with Palermo to bring the defender in as early as January.
Now ou can understand why there is no solid news coming out of WHL as the overall transfer is quite complicated.
Let's hope that Levy can tie up Munoz quickly and conclude a deal for Destro, which may quickly turn around the fortunes of the London club.
