Pochettino In , what next?

If it wasn't for Cortese still being around at Southampton the situation would have been far different in january. We would have seen Pochettino come in sooner.

Sherwood was without a doubt a "gap filler", he would never have been kept on by Levy. I will still defend that he will be a good manager given time, however the Tottenham job was too high profile for the time being.

What I find interesting is what Pochettino will be bringing with him. Firstly Levy wants to get the best out of Lamela and what better way than bringing in a coach from his native land. Spending £30million on a player, who struggles to adapt, does not speak the language and has been injured for most of the season, so having Pochettino will bring a lot of help to the player. Language has always been a huge barrier for both Pochettino and Lamela, but both have great talent and the latter has been wasted by managers that were unable to unleash his potential.

So this these are major thing's that Pochettino will bring into the club (helping to harness they're most expensive player), but it is the style of football that is just as important. The Argentinians tactics are aggressive and his man management seems to be up there with the likes of dare I say it.... Redknapp. He has brought on the next level for players such as Shaw, Lallana, Lambert and Rodriguez. So the likelihood is that this will continue at Tottenham.

So there is a lot to be excited about. He my not be my first choice, but he is not a bad choice, as long as he is given the time to build and not just cut short as Levy is too narrow minded.
