As mentioned before Vertonghen is a shadow of his former self, constant mistakes and a half hearted performance at best, worse the statement that he is looking for Champions League only. Kaboul a player that we have stuck with through thick and thin is reported to want to see out his contract to leave on a free transfer. Well if this is true I would dock the remainder of his contract and allow him to train with the youth team (dirty scum)
Bentaleb would not have got into the squad under AVB or Redknapp so it is an undeserved spot that should be given to someone else. Naughton and Rose are at best championship players and have struggled to produce the form following their loan spells.
This means almost half of our starting 11 are causing constant issues, so why play them?
For me Chriches couldn't come back fast enough pair him back with Dawson, vertonghen should be told play on the left or leave and of course we need Walker back. Interestingly enough if all fails between Dawson and Chiriches Capoue filled in very well.
However there still remains the issue that they neither respect their manager and now their club. So another simple equation to solve.... fine the players!
All of these issues are completely avoidable and although it has been allowed to happen by the coaching staff and board, their is simply no excuse for a professional player not give the fans what they pay so much for...... a good game and their heart (not soul). We need to see their passion for their club and it's fans. Not lazily slouched against a wall waiting to get out onto a pitch and do nothing.
