Spurs back in for International attacker

After supposed failings in trying to land Destro and Konoplyanka, then completely missing the availability of Sinclair, attention goes back to the Everton star.

Reports were that Everton knocked back Spurs (despite including Lennon in the deal). However with time ticking on rapidly surely Everton would rather get a deal for the attacker now than lose him in the summer for free?

I believe that Spurs have made a great offer of Lennon and £3million, but should we push with a further offer? A straight swap in my opinion is a fair deal, an additional £3m is surely a great deal, so this may become too expensive.

The sensible option maybe to agree a free with Mirallas and get him for nothing come the summer and concentrate on what is truly needed for now in a striker.

Although Lavezzi is no out and out striker, surely a straight 6 month swap with Ade is a cheap and sensible option? Ade will play well looking for a contract and Lavezzi will play well to get his name out to suitors! For me I cannot understand why Levy has not made this his number 1 priority. Then we can look at further options like the reported Kaboul - Werner deal. Again that is unlikely to happen as Spurs will need a like for like replacement.
