Spurs Mad Exclusive: Transfer News

Interestingly enough though Levy is only freeing up £20million, when AVB wants 3 players? We are lacking in the LB position (so maybe we could scrimp by with a player of £4-5million, but in that case just keep Naughton). The other positions couldn't be more obvious with our strike force currently at 2, but shortly reduced to 1 (with Ade off to the African Cup). Then of course we have the midfield that are severly lacking in the leadership and creative department after Luka left.

Now forgive me for sounding like I have no idea of the value for money (but in this crazy football world no one seems to), but £20million is not even enough to land Willian or Moutinho (forget a striker and left back as well).

Levy seems to have either forgotten his years of education and experience in the business world or has forgotten to add a 0 onto the end of that 20 (kidding don't expect that much!).

As it stands I feel that we will turn our attention to the likes of Eriksen of Ajax (with a relationship already in place) and he would be a cheaper option, however you cannot deny that the idea of Willian bossing the midfield would be a mouth watering idea.

As stated before there is highly unlikely any chance of Tottenham landing the likes of Moutinho, Willian, Damiao or Falcao (as the media state). The chairman has without a doubt hindered us in that market as we had our chances with each of the above players and Levy either dragged his heel negotiating over who's pen should sign the deal or just thought that the player wasn't worth the money. I think we can all agree that if we had any of the above 4 players we would be dramatically better in strength and position in the league.

Yes it may seem like a big moan, but you have to seriously look and take what I am saying as an outsider rather than a fan. We all know Levy would negotiate even on something free and that he has passed on some great players for their value to then double, but it is now to the hinderance to the club.

Mark my words come January if there are no major signings in midfield and up front do not expect a big season. I would prefer to be realistic and carry on supporting AVB with what he was to work with and bad mouth Levy the whole time (as it will be his fault).

AVB is growing in the league, players are adapting to the play, but I couldn't care a less if they don't want to (its their job to do as their told). I have faith in the players we have and squad we have to achieve a 5th or 6th league slot, but all the players and staff must pull their weight to achieve that.

If in January we are all left jaw to floor as AVB appears on SSN shaking hands with Willian or Moutinho and the likes of Huntelaar then I have a new outlook on it all. Bring on January though we seriously need the reinforcements! its not all doom and gloom as we have some great players coming through the youth ranks.

Come on you Spurs!!!
