Spurs show interest in Andre Ayew

Andre Ayew is a 25 yr old attacker playing for Marseille and Ghana.

However for me this is another poor relation of the French league that Tottenham should not be looking at.

With a goals per game ratio of 0.292 averaged over the past 5 years it is unlikely to set any Premier league clubs on fire! 3 seasons ago the forward managed to notch up a career high of 16 goals, only achieving double figures on his score tally in 3 of his 8 years as a footballer.

I am so confused as to why we are being linked to such a poor level of players by the papers! I cannot imagine for one second that MoPo or any of his staff are genuinely looking at this player.

This rumor along with the Emenike has to be some of the worst players we have been linked with for some time and IF the club were to make the mistake of signing them we are in the same trouble as when we thought signing Saha and Nelsen would add class and build on the team we had!

For a team looking to move forwards I am yet to see any real attempt at the moment to put right the wrongs of the past. Money should be invested in the right place, at the right time and on the right person.

We do not need Emenike (another Adebayor) or Ayew these players should be questioned if they are good enough for the premier league full stop. We need the likes of Bony (we had the chance before Swansea signed him and I highlighted this tremendously before he was purchased). We need a leader at the back to help Vertonghen get his passion and confidence back. A midfielder that links up the midfield with the back four. Likely the most important we need to have a striker that is world class and can take the burden off of Harry Kane. Essentially we need three players to make this team work, but these three players are not all needed now!
