After reading today that Grant Ward is interesting the likes of Deportivo and Udinese it got me to thinking about the pool of youth talent within the Spurs youth system.
Although before getting onto that let's get some things clear. We have seen Bentaleb and Mason break into the squad this year, but IF Spurs are to look to challenge for the top 4 these are not players that should command a first team spot (at their current level). Their performances at times have been good bordering great, but Spurs must not rely on these players to move forward.
Josh Onomah, Alex Pritchard and Shaq Coulthirst are all players that could feature in the Spurs team next year. However Grant Ward has been quickly written off by some as they believe the Tottenham midfield is too strong? I believe if there is one thing still to learn that is that MoPo will give such youngsters a stint in the First Team once they prove themselves.
I like to see players being brought through and it is an intergal part of the game if England are to build on the national squad.
I would like top know if there are any other players that are coming through that have not been brought to our attention yet! Anyone have some players to watch?
