Last night members of the Haringey Borough Council meet to discuss the purchase of land for the Northumberland park development, which is then to be sold back to Tottenham as part of the agreed plans from 2011.
Essentially this means that the development will not be held up by anyone living in the area making any right claims. This means that anyone living in the area will just have to claim compensation rather than being able to stop the development and go through a lengthy process.
As expected the press and public were not allowed into the meeting so this news has broken today.
Once again its good news, however it would be better to hear that it is all progressed and Tottenham can begin buidling now, but one thing at a time, the tender is still to offered out.
