The pressure mounts

However it is now that the pressure really starts to kick in.

Eriksen, Lamela and Soldado will now be pulled into the limelight with games coming up against Man City and Man Utd.

Full blame has been put onto AVB's 'negative' tactics, however there is blame to fall on the big shoulders of the players.

With a combined figure of over £60million you would expect to have more open play, domination on the wings and goals galore. However we have seen a stuttering movement in each part.

The answer is simple, a patient mentality, commitment to a position and vision to find those in the key positions.

It is Eriksen’s job to find those telling balls. He was bought after a rapidly rising reputation in the Dutch league showed him as the pass master.

Lamela was seen as the "Bale" replacement. Someone to stretch the play and take players away from the box and create space to then cut into or cross into.

Soldado the final piece to the puzzle. Our first major striker signing for years.

All three players will be expected to perform against the Manchester teams and it is AVB's job to have them ready for it.

The three players are more than capable of beating these teams, but there is little time for all other than Soldado (due to international duty). Patience will begin to wear too thin for fans if we don’t seen Lamela played (but putting in a good performance), Eriksen showing us he can unlock the back four with simple passes and Soldado putting those balls into the back of the net.

Negativity is eating it's way through the club, right at the top from AVB and his questioned tactics, through to the players and to us fans.

We need to start seeing some return for our money we all know that.

So AVB let's see some positive thinking now. Use the wings, play to the lone striker and be more patient!

If the players fail to show against these teams they will find themselves falling rapidly from grace and placed onto the same shameful pile as Adebayor. No one wants that surely?

If you have the talent don't waste it, prove it!
