The Real Targets?

The true targets are in fact strikers and this has been confirmed by AVB himself. So knowing this were we ever in for M'Vila, Ramirez and Moutinho (Ramirez is seemingly not wanted by big clubs having agreed to Southampton), Moutinho we knew was too expensive and M'Vila we are overloaded with players in that position. To clarify what I mean by were we in for them I do not believe that we were ever serious, it seems bizarre otherwise.

The striker position has been commented on with Adebayor still waiting in the wings (this was known and is likely tied in with the Luka deal), we had supposedly bid for Soldado and the bid was rejected (I think this is unlikely as surely we would have tried for the like of Llorente first?). Things are starting to come up, but as expected Rossi is not a current target.

The issues of our squad is expected to have some resolution following the Newcastle game (that was a sure thing as something would have happened today at the latest), but do not expect to see any surprise visitors in the stands!

I am looking forward to getting the new season back underway and with some new faces and with Defoe looking sharpe, we could see a very good game against Newcastle. Although we may be down to one recognised striker he is looking sharp and confident (which is what he needs to hit the ground running). So no concern for the newcastle game, but things must be reactified shortly (within a week we are led to believe).

Although its not a comment I wish to use, but I feel that it is fitting, lets just wait and see.

Come on you Spurs!!
