Tottenham not one man?

Since Harry Kane was included in the starting lineup in the EPL we have seen a change in Spurs, however is it for the good?

It seems that Harry Kane is involved in everything and the game doesn't get started until he does. Let's take the Chelsea game first, we were attacking, but not with purpose. The rest of the team did the usual attack with pace go to the corners and then pass it backwards to then lose the ball. It wasn't until Kane too matters into his own hands that anything changed.

Against Palace it was the same story, only this time after Kane scored the rest of the team (NOT including Lloris) did nothing. In regards to ratings I would say that any player would be lucky to score more than 5 as they looked completely uninspired.

The problem at Tottenham is that the players look for someone to rely on and at times rely so much that they fail to do anything themselves. Looking at the games you can see that the players do not attack with purpose, lose possession in ridiculous places, fail to close down, fail to maintain pressure or fail to mark their man.

IF the players were to remain consistency in not relying on Kane than we may get to see a different team.

Saturday was unfortunate, we could have done with players like Eriksen who was off collecting is Danish player of the year award..... oh wait sorry I stand corrected supposedly he played (don't remember seeing him on the pitch). No in all seriousness we should be able to rely on players like Eriksen. Yes he maybe young but we must see him play consistently well for more than 2 games. We need to see a raft of good performances before he can be compared to VDV (let alone Modric).

Then you have players such as Townsend that we all had such high hopes for, but again is another Lennon. SO much promise and little progression.

The key thing here is that we have 2 players in a team of 11. Lloris to defend and Kane to attack. Maybe the performances from Mason should be a lesson learnt from rest of the team, that their positions are not handed to them they earn them!

In my humble opinion the first team squad need a reminder, a loud wake up call, drop all bar Kane and Lloris and replace the other coasters with the youth within our ranks. I am sure that these guys will play their socks off and keep a level of consistency. With Burnley at home next it is a perfect game to ring such changes. A team that will push youngsters all the way.

Let's forget about the players that think they should be GIVEN a starting slot and put in some players that will bleed for their position and then only when the original first teamers come in and perform consistently from the subs bench will they be lucky enough to regain their place back.

But we all know that Mopo is not man enough for that, he wouldn't dare drop those players to prove a point, but that is where the problem lies. There is no way that Townsend should have started, no way that we should have paired Stambouli with Dembele and to be honest (except the Chelsea game) I still do not trust Rose at left back.

For me its the same old 1 good game 3 bad games, so expect to be knocked out of the FA Cup, lose against Sunderland and make a right mess of the first leg of our League cup semi's. Or will the players actually decide to show up?
