Tom Carroll, Eric Dier, Alex Pritchard and Harry Kane are all in Southgate's initial 27 man squad.
At this rate 3 potential starters for next season will not be ready for the start of the new season (if this is the case). Pritchard is likely to feature in the side following a very successful year with Brentford and he is likely to join both Kane and Dier in that line-up.
I cannot argue that these types of competitions give great and valuable experience to the likes of Pritchard, Dier and Carroll, however I stand firm in that this WILL NOT benefit Kane. For Kane who has earned his full English cap he needs a full summer break, not this unnecessary tournament used to help young stars to gain further European experience.
I'm glad that Rose is too old for the team otherwise you can bet your backside he would be included too.
