Tottenham's signs Leverkusen's Son

MoPo has been very tight lipped with the transfer status of any deals and he in fact made it sound like Son may not even be a target!

After what seems likely heated negotiations with Leverkusen  deal close to £18million has supposedly been agreed.

What is more interesting is that again a deal has been left so late that he will not be featuring in the game against Everton due to international clearance and a work permit not yet being obtained.

Although it is disappointing, it will be worth the wait.

When Spurs were first linked to Son (before his transfer to Leverkusen) I looked into the player and have watched him play live a few times since. Let's firstly clear up he is not a striker. Operating as a supporting striker or an attacking winger the Korean International has become a large name in the Bundesliga. He can play with both feet and is fast.

I honestly believe that he can fit into the EPL as the Bundesliga is very similar to the English league.

The price tag of £18million may seem steep (and I would be inclined to agree), but given the lateness of the transfer the figure would have to be inflated.

Here's to our new no.7 (I'm am avoiding any pun's, there are too many bad ones floating about).
