Transfer Latest

Adebayor is suspending himself from international play, which is due to pay issues with Togo. As Adebayor will now be available throughout the whole season it questions whether AVB and Levy will see a striker as a major assest needed? I believe that it will at least have a knock on affect as to what funds will be available now for a striker.

Following on from this Ricky Van Wolfswinkel is likely now to stay at Sporting or for the time being anyway. His agent has stated that an improved contract is on the table (however 1. will he sign it and 2. will it have a release clause?) from Sporting. RVW has been in good form for Sporting and as expected they are looking to hold onto one of their prize assests.

Loric Remy is still supposedly on our books and now we are looking at a £10million deal, but there are no quotes or sources so do not take this as a serious story. Plus the guy has spent a lot of the time injured this season so he may not even pass a medical if it got this far.

Massadio Haidara may however be on AVB's wish list and the Nancy sports chief Eric Martin has stated that;

"Fiorentina and Tottenham Hotspur chasing Haidara? There are many clubs interested in him, but for the moment we have not received concrete offers".

So whilst there are no concrete offers this may change anytime soon with the need for proper cover for BAE and at the age of 20 he is certainly one for the future.

Adam Maher is the final name being linked today to Tottenham, however this is pure speculation and there is no sources on this story at all. Yet another paper story with no one able to back this up.

More news will follow after I go throught the usual rubbish out there.
