Jake Livermore is about to join up with Harry Redknapp at QPR on loan for the rest of the season.
Jake is a great young player, but has been in desperate need to have a run of games to help with confidence and experience in the league. It’s been a stop start time to the youngsters career at Tottenham with Harry playing him often and AVB hardly calling on him.
Hopefully this loan will work as our previous loans have for Naughton and Walker!
Here's something to get your thoughts going though and its striker related AGAIN!
Loric Remy seems Newcastle bound after a fee of £8million was agreed for the unwanted striker. Now forgive me if I am wrong Remy is a striker we have been linked to for 18 months now? If we do not rival Newcastle for his signature (as at £8million for the France international it’s a good deal), does this mean that we are saving our funds for someone else? Someone better?
If we solved the creative midfield issue, would our strikers find it easier and score more freely? This is possible, so do we pump the large amount of funds into a creative midfielder and ask for Dzeko on loan? haha. Maybe we could have a cheeky loan for Sneijder or Llorente (seems as their clubs have said they don’t want him).
For me I think we are going to see some late flutterings again come the end of the month. If something is going to be done it won't come quickly. Sneijder has said he has all month to decide, Levy will be doing his best to get a cheap deal and Shakhtar have just signed Willian’s replacement (possibly). There is nothing that we should now expect imminently as anything available is not at the price we want it.
Let’s just hope and keep everything crossed that Levy does a good job this window.
