Transfer Update!

The concern is that there are more transfers out mouted in Dawson and Huddlestone! If I am entirely honest I cannot see this myself, Dawson is club captain (as Ledley has retired) and Huddlestone when fit has likely the best range of passing of any player in the team, so these rumours do not make sense. The impending move of Jenas ceratinly does, but with Bentley not used at all at the weekend and hardly seen over the pre-season he must be leaving too? Then of course Dos Santos is wanted by Inter and Sevilla and I expect that to go through before the transfer deadline hits (yet again notice he was not used at the weekend).

With those 3 sold and Bassong just about to rubber stamp his move this means that we have a hefty sum freed up in wages let alone transfer fees, so why are we still yet to sign a minimum of 2 strikers?

Dzeko is the latest to be linked to Spurs along with team mate Adebayor, but I am certain that with Adebayor soon to have his move to White Hart Lane rubber stamped I cannot see Dzeko following. I realise Levy seems to have a good relationship with City (transfer wise), but I cannot see them discounting 2 players transfer fee's and subsidising 2 players wages for us (although I would happily take Dzeko).

Then finally we have the mention again of Llorente. Supposedly his destination is now set to be the Premier league with his move to Juventus seemingly broken down. The interesting point is that City are also in for the running for this man, it all hangs on the injury to Aguero and whether it is going to be a long term injury. This is what Macini has come out and said directly.

Once again as always we are getting the transfers dragged out and things are starting to pop up as the window closure approaches.

Levy has not signed off the Modric deal and has been attempting to push up the price with interest from Chelsea being shown again, but it is not acceptable. 2 players were signed early on (for once), a denfeder and midfielder (however it was a midfielder that we didn't really need at the time).

As time pushes on we as a club become more desperate to buy meaning the prices are increased. Levy may have what he thinks as the upper hand in the selling, but in the buying it seems as if he has played his last hand. There are no players (not of the quality of VDV) that a club would be willing to pass onto another club at such a cut price, so Levy MUST stump up the cash and go all out before he finds himself as the same situation as February this year. What I mean is many players went out leaving bear bones and no players in. The current position is unacceptable, but the loss to Newcastle is dampened by the draw with Arsenal and the loss to Man Utd and Liverpool (so we are in an ok position).

The clock is ticking and with every second passing its another £ or € added onto the prices of our targets, not a good position to be in.

Come on you Spurs!!
