Transfers anyone?

I don't know if anyone realised, but this same thing happened in the summer when we were desperate to replace certain names. There was a flurry of stories then silence mainly leading up to the transfer deadline when we signed Lloris, Dempsey and Dembele.

Although I am still trying to keep the fans together and morale high (in terms of our squad), I am beginning to wonder what is happening? We have been in this position before and Levy played his stubborn game of I'm not investing in Jan unless it’s past it cheap has-beens. Every time this dangerous game has been played we are in a great position to then fail by relying on the same small group of players that are tiring. So there is documented proof that this has not worked, why continue to play a game that is lost each time? January is not always a wise time to invest, but for Tottenham it has been imperative.

AVB had been working hard on fitness with the team and I feel that it may have been with this scenario in mind, but Levy can no longer hide behind Redknapp, so he has no choice in the situation.

Players are needed, we do not need to spend big  as Holtby could be brought in now (not that I think he is the anwser) and then spend on a striker.

There is a large amount of frustration growing in the fans, I have been getting emails and contacted via Facebook and Twitter by so many that are fed up with the same old mistakes by Levy. I just hope that the fans see who the real culprit is and it certainly is not AVB or the players. Anger must be directed at the right people and in the right way. Levy MUST know the problems I really cannot think for 1 minute that he would be stupid enough to stop the club from having the best chance to go for 3rd forget 4th!

Last year we were so close to finishing above our rivals, but this year (with a team seemingly weaker than last year’s) we have a better chance. We have a decent run of games coming up and I feel that we are in a position to gain some points over our opponents between now and March. As in March 2 of our 4 games are against big rivals with Arsenal at home and then Liverpool away. Then in April we have Everton at home, Chelsea away and City at home (3 out of our 4 games will be hard work). So any players that we sign now will have the opportunity to settle in over the next month before some difficult games come up. The final 3 games may be easier, but our season could be over by then unless we get in the much needed players.

I am almost getting to the stage of not caring who comes in as long as someone comes in, but I refuse to play into Levy’s hands. I want some world class talent and current ones not from 8 years ago! It MAY be that money will need to be spent, but there is a very old saying You have to spend money to make money. Oh boy isn’t that true! Spend the money now get Champs league, get the windfall from participating in the elite league, keep top players in the squad happy, attract big names and the rest would take care of itself. It’s not rocket science, you don’t need a degree to work it out, it’s that simple. AVB + Current position * 2 new world class players = challenge for 3 and secured Champions League.

Come on Levy your club needs you!
