U21 in 0-0 draw

It was a highly competitive game at Staplewood Training Ground, with many clear cut chances throughout the game.

Caulker and Carroll completed a full 90 minutes, whilst Nicholson continued his come back from a long term injury and managed 45 minutes.

Both teams had a chance to take the spoils and Coulthirst slid in on a Fredericks cross, but Saints keeper Gazzaniga to claw the ball off of his line.

Saints Sinclair cross was deflected into Seager's path, but he dragged his shot wide from close range.

Both keepers Gazzaniga & Vigouroux's both produced three good saves in as many minutes to deny both teams attacks.

This means that the U21's have completed the first part of a two part all-new competition and saw just 5 defeats out of 26 matches and had scored a superb 77 goals.

Winning National Group Two we will now go to the play-offs follow next month, when we will take on the winners of the play-off between the winners of Group One and Group Two in the semi-final.

Its another great sign of things to come and I for one can see that we have some great prospects coming through!
