This is a player that in my opinion is far off the type of player we need. Firstly he scored 14 goals in 43 games last season! An ok return for a forward and a poor one for a player with a price tag of £17million!!!
Tottenham are looking for a striker that is capable of lightening the load for Gareth Bale. So why is it that they would spend the same money on Vucinic as they would need for Damiao? It is a crazy notion.
You only have to look at his career to see that he has only once managed to score more than 20 goals in a season (22 goals and it was almost 10 years ago!). For the past 3 seasons he has only managed 35 goals (a little over an average of 11 goals a season). If you ask me that is no striker that is a midfielder. Or look at it this way, JD scored 15 last season so it’s a step backwards.
Being an avid Spurs fan I do not want to see us waste our money on this ‘decent’ player that will be 30 in October, with his goal scoring tally really not living up to the potential he had as a younger player.
I am sure others feel different, but seriously, we can't be happy to waste £17million on this supposed striker?
