What is going on?

I settled down with a cold one put my feet up and awaited the fireworks as Bayern were expected to rip Chelsea apart. But to my complete dismay Chelsea managed to get the game into extra time on level terms and with Bayern missing a penalty.

What actually concerned me the most was how Luiz stayed on the pitch? 2 Definite yellow cards but he only got one and then to make matters worse went on to score a penalty after extra time.

Now am I going mad or have Chelsea just completely lucked out? It seems that they had stumbled their way into penalties in the final and managed to win and I am really shocked. They had played poorly in the league (only managed 6th!!!!), but they manage to win the champion league?

Well all I have to say is I can't believe that we left it to others to sort our champions league status.

What concerns me even more is that players are being linked already and if they poke their heads above the parapet to state their desire to leave I will be furious. It is these players that got us into 4th, but fell from 3rd, so they must except the responsibility that they are not quite ready for the constant partaking in the Champions League.

I am sure that Levy and Redknapp will jump up and state that no one is leaving, but is the concern who is going or.... who is coming. If we had of bid for Hazard in January he would now be at the lane and all would be happy and I feel 3rd wrapped up. Then it would be a CB, Keeper and Striker to tie up, but now we have to throw a midfielder into the mix as well!

A stressful time is ahead in the summer. There will be many rumours flying about with Vertonghen likely to be wrapped up (although interesting how the deal had not be done before the Champs final).

When it comes down to it what I would like is pretty straight forward, 2 strikers in (Luuk De Jong and Adebayor), Vertonghen as our defensive purchase, but I am really stuck now with who I would choose in goal and also who we could buy that would strengthen our midfield (that actually wants to come). Hazard was a great possibility in January now its dead in the water. Roman Weidenfeller of Dortmund I would love to see at the club, but there is no chance AT ALL of him leaving the current German Champs.

Either way I would like to hear some of your views so please send me an email on hogggatspursmad@hotmail.com
