Where it all went wrong

Looking at the beginning of the season we got to a bad start due to rumours of Luka and heads turned. This changed at the point when Levy clearly stated Luka was staying. The whole team improved dramatically.

This coincided with the acquisition of Manu and Scotty. It was the boast the squad needed to see we were serious. Manu got off to a flying start and Scotty was bossing the gap between midfield and defence, which were 2 big gaps we had needed to fill. Bale and Lennon were running the flanks and that much pace on both flanks was always going to cause problems. This then gave Luka and Rafa the chance to pull all the strings linking the attack up with midfield. The next major factor is that Brad came in and commanded that back four and box like something we have never seen. This shows a solid team and that is why we climbed so high.

Then we can see the issues, Lennon gets injured then Bale is being used on the right and in the middle and next thing you know we have a very narrow midfield over run and leaving the wings bare. Teams would simply load the centre and could match us easily. Then Manu had stopped scoring as much and it is because there was no wing play. You can now see the issue and I am sure you agree, but this has now been compounded and it is with the issue of the England vacancy. Levy has not come out and told the fans he is staying, there is no straight response from Redkanpp or Levy as to what is happening and whether they admit it or not this is having an undesired affect on the players and their performance. This will continue to happen until our old shape is reunited and maybe then the players can put the Redknapp issue behind them and get back to winning ways.

Is it that he is going and no longer really cares what happens ? Is it that Redknapp has had his head turned by all this England mess? Only the Chairman, Manager and Players really know, but only they can turn it around. I feel that we must stick to this team;

Goal Friedel, Right Back Walker, Centre Back King, Centre Back Kaboul, Left Back Assou-Ekotto, Right Mid Lennon, Central Mid Modric, Defensive Mid Parker, Left Mid Bale, Support man Van Der Vaart, Striker Adebayor

We had our best performance under this team and we must go back to it to hit the heights again. Come On You Spurs
