Why always Gareth!

Last updated : 05 April 2013 By Hog

Bale was injured in May 2011 which kept him out for 3 months (this had a knock on affect to the end of our campaign).

March in 2012 he had injury issues again.

Now April 2013 an unnecessary challenge by Bale leads to an injury that is expect to keep him out for 2 weeks.

This could not have come at worse time, but what else can we do about it. As fans these sorts of things are completely out of our control, however we cannot keep ignoring the large issue of not buying a striker in January.

A broken record I may be on this issue, but my point has been proven.

We have relied on Gareth too much and so much to the extent that when he plays and does not perform we look bad! Last night was a frustrating night for all and Gareth certainly showed his frustration in his challenge at the end.

I guess that we must expect for certain injuries to occur to the "fast" players. In the English league it seems to happen too often. They are like a sports car and small things go wrong regularly (look at Lennon).

I send my thoughts to Gareth and wish him a speedy recovery, but more selfishly we need him back and battling for us, ideally against Everton, but I'll take the 14th April (which I believe is the re-scheduled date for the Chelsea game).

Actually come to think of it is that Eileen Drewery still knocking about Glenn? Gareth could do with a healer! Ha-Ha.

Also a reminder for all those that are happy to do so, please vote on the below link. You can opt out of all the sales stuff, please show your support for a fellow spurs fan that wants our help:
