Ajax Goalkeeper Admits Being Open to Move Amid Man Utd and Spurs Transfer Links

Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana has confirmed that he would interested in a move to the Premier League, amid speculation that Manchester United and Tottenham are both interested in signing the Cameroon international.

Onana was speaking after his side's dramatic 4-4 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening, in which both Daley Blind and Joel Veltman were sent off within seconds of each other for the visitors.

Despite conceding four, the Ajax stopper made a number of acrobatic saves that did little to quell speculation that a move to a bigger club could be on the cards in the future. When asked if he would be interested in moving to the Premier League, Onana spoke enthusiastically about the possibility of playing in England.

"There's good competition and everyone wants to play here but to play you need to get a chance," the 23-year-old told BBC Sport.

However, Onana was also keen to affirm that for now, he remains committed to the Dutch champions.

"The Premier League is not for everybody so we will see. Now, I am with Ajax and I am happy to be the first-choice goalkeeper," the Cameroon stopper began. "It's always important for me to move on. I am not going to stay here forever but now I am focused, so let's keep it this way.

"I am happy to play for Ajax. I am happy to play for a big club but we will see what will happen at the end of the season."

His comments came just a few days removed from reports that suggested that a three-way battle for the goalkeeper's signature was underway between SpursManchester United and PSG

Unana is one of the most highly rated young stoppers in the world, with his impressive form that helped Ajax reach the Champions League final last campaign resulting in him being nominated for the inaugural Ballon d'Or goalkeeping award.
