Media reports had hinted Anderton could be one of the players leaving Spurs as manager Glenn Hoddle looks to raise funds for more new players following the £8.25million purchase of Portugese striker Helder Postiga.
However, Angell told the London Evening Standard: "Darren has one year left on his contract and there is nothing in these stories."
