Frank Arnesen was a content Director of Sport once Jermain Defoe’s new improved personal terms were agreed.
"We've been in negotiations for a new agreement for Jermain for a while - Jermain is a young player, a Spurs and England striker with a lot of talent and I'm delighted he's happy," he said.
