Back To Square One?

Saturday’s game just demonstrated what most people already knew.

Spurs have got a good defence and defensive midfield, but are currently lacking creativity.

Even so, we restricted the 3rd best team in the premiership to a single goal via a disputed penalty and had 3 or 4 chances late on to grab a point, alas none of these fell to Defoe, resulting in the inevitable outcome.

The creativity will return with Atouba & Sean Davis and hopefully Simon Davies can return to the form and fitness of previous seasons.

Having already played Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool & Newcastle, the quality of opposition should drop a little & hopefully allow us to start another “unbeaten” run.

Still very early days for the current Spurs squad, but we can already see Jacques & Martins input is significantly better than previous regimes.
