The Daily Mirror reported that Martin Jol is willing to listen to offers for Brown, who joined Spurs from Brammal Lane two years ago for £500,000.
With injuries to key players last night, the midfielder was recalled by Jol to face Manchester City, the club he started his career at.
Jol said afterwards: "Michael Brown is always a favourite of mine because he did so well last season and showed again that he can play in our team easily. That is a great pleasure for me."
