Clem Set For New Deal

The 25 year old who made his comeback in Saturday's victory over Liverpool at the Lane, is set to be offered a new deal as Glenn looks to secure his long term future at the club.

Having been sidelined for over 8 months with a ligament injury sustained in a 2 - 1 defeat to Blackburn back in August, Clemence returned to the starting 11 on Saturday and claimed the man of the match award, after a super performance in midfield.

Clemence who was given his first start at the club by Gerry Francis back in 1997, played his fair share of games last season and seemed likely to continue that way this season until struck down by the injury.

With the introduction of Redknapp already to the Spurs midfield and more possible transfers in the pipeline, it seems as though a new contract will still not guarantee a first team place.
