Peter Crouch is hoping that his hat-trick in the Carling Cup win at Preston will earn him a starting place in the Spurs team for the League game against Burnley.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has preferred to start most of this season's Premier League games with Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane leading his attack. However, Crouch is hoping that his three goals in the 5-1 win at Deepdale on Wednesday night may give Redknapp food-for-thought when he come's to naming his starting XI for the game against The Clarets at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
"When I'm given chances, I can only produce and try to stake a claim for a starting place," the England international centre-forward has said.
"I would be disappointed to be on the bench against Burnley, because I want to play every game.
"We've done pretty well this season, so I can't argue too much, but hopefully I've done enough."
