Double injury blow

Ferdinand had to be replaced at half-time with a hamstring problem while winger Etherington limped off with a twisted ankle after an hour of the 2-1 defeat at Turf Moor.

Glenn explained: "Les picked up a hamstring and Matt got a kick and a twist on his ankle in the first half.

"We tried to see if he could continue but he couldn't giving us what he gave us in the first half and had to come off."
