Poyet, who has been out with a broken wrist, played the full ninety minutes while Ziege, struggling with his troublesome thigh injury was substituted with just 15 minutes of the game remmaining.

"I said before that I would have to risk it a little to play again so quickly but I didn't feel anything. Perhaps when I really land on it we'll see but so far it's fine," Poyet told the clubs official website after the game.

Poyet and Steohane Dalmat grabbed the two goals that gave Colin Calderwood's second string victory over the Hammers.
