Edman gets back on track

Edman back in the wars but nothing would spoil scoring his first goal for Spurs.

His first season in England deteriorated on a personal level after suffering a serious head injury back in October that kept him out the side for long spells. He also became embroiled in a legal case with his former club over missing payments in conjunction with his transfer to Spurs. Fortunately he was able to put all that behind him with a stunning left footed effort from all of 35 yards. Tottenham’s early lead temporarily wiped the smiles from the faces of a packed Anfield Kop, whilst serving as an added confidence boost following his goal for Sweden direct from a free-kick last month.

"For me, it's getting towards the end of the season and I want to pick up as many appearances as possible. I just want to keep on playing.

"I would say the goal at Liverpool was the best of my career. When I got the ball I was a little bit confused. I thought maybe I should pass or cross it. You have to decide really quickly and I didn't see much else on so I thought the best thing was to shoot," said Edman.
