Fans made Carr sick

On the field Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson will face former Leeds United colleagues Lee Bowyer and James Milner, while Stephen Carr will face his former club for the second time in a game the Newcastle United right back has described as one he cannot bare to lose. "I have a huge desire to win on Sunday. I left Spurs after 12 years to better myself and I want to beat them."

"I do not want to feel like I did when Spurs won up here at the start of the season because that was not a very nice experience for me.

"I had been there for so long and had never been in a situation before where I was playing against my old team and it hurt me when I took stick from their fans that day.

"I gave them good service but that was soon forgotten. That's football and my aim now is to do well for Newcastle United," said Carr.

The Magpies secured a 3-1 first leg win against Olympiakos in the UEFA Cup on Thursday without centre-half Jean Alain Boumsong who had already played for Rangers in European competition earlier this season.

Newcastle boss Souness brought Amdy Faye and Andy O'Brien into the side for Boumsong and Jermain Jenas who played the final half an hour as a replacement for Kieran Dyer. Milner came on for Laurent Robert in a double swap after the Frenchman scored with an exquisitely taken free kick. Souness is hoping that Celestine Babayaro can recover from a knee injury in time for the FA Cup sixth round tie against Spurs. The former Chelsea left back has been forced to miss their last three matches.

"We have taken advantage of the extra couple of hours after the game to get back home and prepare for Tottenham.

"I have a slightly different team in mind for Sunday than the one I played on Thursday," said Souness after their win in Greece.
