Fry reveals transfer rift

The deal took place two years ago and at the time, many Posh supporters were furious with Fry for letting the pair go cheaply - the club received a down payment of £1.24 million for the pair, but are still receiving money for appearances and international games.
However, Fry says he was equally upset over the price.
Fry believes that the fee of £1.24 million should have been for each player and not a combined fee. Fry has also revealed that he rejected a million pound offer for Etherington alone just six months before the pair moved to White Hart Lane.
The final stage of negotiations took place between Tottenham's director of football David Pleat and Posh chairman Boizot, without the presence of Fry, who believes that as a result the club did not get as good a deal as they could have.
Fry has insisted that if it had been his decision, the two midfielders would not have left London Road for White Hart Lane on the terms that were agreed.
