Gardner ready to look after the Villa

Anthony Gardner has admitted that he is confident about being fit for Sunday's clash with Aston Villa. Gardner, who suffered a back injury during training on his first day with the England sqaud has revealed that his withdrawal was, 'More of a precaution'. He added that he picked up the problem during his fine performance in the North London derby but after a light session on Tuesday realised that it was causing more problems than he expected. However, it began to loosen up but in training on Friday felt the pain once again and was forced to pull out. He now says that the problem has cleared and should be fit for the weekend.
