Gorman did not quit to rejoin Hoddle

John Gorman has revealed that his decision to leave his position at Wycombe Wanderers was not based on a desire to team up with Glenn Hoddle. The London Evening Standard has reported that Gorman had fallen out with Adams over defensive tactics. Adams had been advocating zonal marking at set-pieces while Gorman was leaning toward a more man-to-man approach. Not quite a training ground bust up, but enough to split the Wycombe managerial team.
