Half Term Report.

Unusually for Spurs we found it easier to win away rather than WHL, with good victories at Newcastle & Everton.

Alas it soon became apparent that the relationship between Jacques & Frank was a little bit cool, to say the least.

During this time Jacques resigned to be replaced by Martin Jol, who reverted to a more attacking oriented game.

This obviously caused difficulty for the players consequently we embarked on a six game losing streak.

Martin Jol to his credit did not panic and stuck to his philosophy and on the back of a fortunate win over Middlesborough, gradually built on that success with some aplomb.

Currently from 19 games we have 28 points so in theory will finish the season on somewhere around the 58 point mark, top ten finish but not good enough for Europe.

However if we can get a reasonable haul of points from the January fixture list (where we play three of the top four) we will have fulfilled all bar one fixture against these teams and will have everything to play for.

Its is pretty obvious that Frank Arensen has some targets lined up for the January transfer window, so a place in Europe is not exactly out of the question at the moment, especially in light of the injuries that are mounting up for the contenders for 6/7th position.

7th position would probably be good enough assuming that either Liverpool/Man Utd/Chelsea win the Carling cup
