Hoddle: Best performance this season

Hoddle told Sky Sports: "We worked very hard and I thought in the first half we played some smashing football, as good as we've played all season.

"We scored two good goals, it's good to get the strikers scoring again. I'm delighted with the result.

"We've had some good performances away but not recently. We've got to make sure this gets the momentum going and we go on a run now. The points are very condensed and you can jump up or down the league very quickly."

And on Robbie Keanes brilliant goal the Spurs boss said: "It was a fantastic goal - a training ground goal - it's good when you can reproduce your training ground performances and be relaxed.

"Robbie was elusive and got on the back of people. Against your old club you always have a spring in your step."
