Hoddle: Draw would have been fair result

Bolton midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha scored form the spot in the 92nd minute after Youri Djorkaeff went down under Gary Doherty's tackle.

"From where I was sitting it was a penalty and that was a sickener for us so late in the game," Hoddle told the clubs official website

"I thought we were the better side in the first half and I can't remember Kasey having to make a save.

"They found it hard to get behind us, we looked threatening and had enough possession, passed it okay and I was pleased.

"I felt we could go up a gear in the second half and go on to win the game but Bolton went a bit more direct in the second half, took a risk in leaving three up at times, stopped our full-backs getting forward and as a result we got too stretched out and didn't pass the ball anywhere near like we did in the first half.

"In the end it looked as if it was going to end in a draw and that would have been a fair result over the 90 minutes."
