Holland denies Spurs rumours

Holland is rumoured to be about to be sold by the Portman Road club as they look to ease their financial problems and Spurs along with several other Premiership clubs are said to be keen to recruit the Republic of Ireland international midfielder.

"I don't know where the Tottenham story came from. Adam Tanner rang me to say he'd seen this report saying I wanted to join Spurs and I thought he was larking about, Holland told the Ipswich official website.

"There's no way I have talked about Spurs at all. It's a total mystery where the comments have come from.

"It is that time of the year when the media are searching around for stories and there is always a load of speculation stuff.

"My name has been linked with a number of clubs for a while but I'm more than happy at Ipswich and as far as I'm concerned, will be at the club next season.

"I'm certainly not desperate to move on and haven't let all the talk bother me, although I am obviously aware of the financial situation at Ipswich and know the club are looking to cut the wage bill.

"The speculation about my future is not worrying me one bit. I'm used to it now and all I am concentrating on is the two Ireland games coming up.

"After that I'm away on holiday with my family for a couple of weeks so if anything is going to happen I can't see it taking place until July."
