Jol lambasts players mentality after cup exit

Jol told the Daily Mail: "You have to make a difference up front. If you don't score then it's always going to be a problem. We aren't scoring goals, and we don't look like scoring goals, which is even worse.

"Sometimes we looked a bit immature. The best player, overall, was Aaron Lennon when he came on - and he's 18 years old.

Mido’s suspension and the fact Grzegorz Rasiak was cup-tied left Jol with no other option but to start with Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane together as his front pairing.

"Against two big centre-backs they needed to move quickly and use their extra mobility to cause them problems which they didn’t," Jol added.
