Tottenham boss Martin Jol said: "We've been more consistent than people have given us credit for. I think every other team besides the top two would have been satisfied with our results."
"Everyone was devastated after the Arsenal game. We had to prove a point against Middlesbrough, we did that and although 2-1 wasn't a great margin, we should have won by more.
"But if we'd had a bad result against Charlton, another derby game, it would have meant nothing."
