Kamanan has been at Spurs for the past two seasons, but has only made the substitutes bench once this season - against Middlesbrough at White Hart Lane.
With boss Glenn Hoddle keen to give his youngsters the chance of first-team experience, the 20-year-old striker could make the temporary switch back to his homeland.
Kamanan is one of Tottenham's most highly-rated youngsters and the club are reluctant to let him go on a permanent basis, but director of football Pleat confirmed that they could be prepared to release him on loan until the end of the season.
Strasbourg are currently top of the French Second Division and their director of football Marc Keller admitted the club are considering a permanent move for Kamanan.
