Kanoute fee the stumbling block

Spurs are allegedly willing to pay an estimated £3million for Kanoute but West Ham are believed to be holding out for almost double that figure.

"The current position is that there is this difference in the transfer valuation," Kanoute's agent Willie McKay told the BBC Online website.

"Spurs want to pay £3m and West Ham want £5m. I'm hopeful something will be sorted out but it looks like there will have to be a bit of give and take.

"I think when they can sort it something will happen with Freddie and Spurs."
