England Under 21 boss Peter Taylor will ask Steve McClaren if he can play Aaron Lennon in the European Championship play-offs against Germany.
Crystal Palace boss Taylor is prepared himself to continue working with England on a match-by-match basis while McClaren seeks a full-time successor.
