Spurs reached an agreement with Chelsea "in principle" late last night over the illegal approach of Frank Arnesen.
Chelsea had initially hoped to offload defenders Robert Huth and Glen Johnson to Spurs but that deal wasn’t in Tottenham’s best interests.
