McCarthy Regret For Carr

Carr who has missed the whole season due to a leg injury, had given up hope of reaching the finals a few weeks ago, after being told that his injury had not healed enough.

McCarthy at today's press conference were he announced his squad said "The kid really deserves to be playing on the world stage, because he is an absolute star. It is a big disappointment for him and me."

Fellow Spurs star Gary Doherty also missed out, after also missing most of this season, although a return last month had given the star hope.
