Frank Arnesen explained the need to bring in a new Academy Manager in the form of John McDermott.
"A significant part of my role at the club is to ensure that we have an Academy with the highest standards of coaching and success in nurturing young talent. John brings a wealth of knowledge of training and selection methods to our club," he said.
