"Jamie Redknapp had 65 minutes in the reserves against Arsenal but suggestions that he would be back for United are unfounded," said Spurs boss Glenn Hoddle.

"I spoke to Jamie and he is not ready. He has been five months out.

"We have got another game which has been arranged for him and Christian Ziege, a friendly on Monday morning.

"He just needs more football and we are coming to the end of the season.

"Whether we can get him back for the last two games, or the last game, I don't know yet. But I was happy to see him out in a Spurs shirt again playing, that was good."

Darren Anderton will also miss the United clash after picking up a knee injury in the away win at West Brom.
