Martin Jol said: "He had a tear in it (groin area) and some bleeding so normally you would expect him to be out for longer."

Meanwhile, Jol mentioned last week that Anthony Gardner had been suffering with a not too serious illness.

Baggies boss Bryan Robson said: "We've proved we can match Spurs in the past. Our performances against them have been very good."

"Since I've been at this club we have played them four times, including the FA Cup replay last season, and they have been good and very close games. We lost 3-1 in the cup replay but in the first half we played some great football and were unlucky not to go in further in front at half-time. Unfortunately, Russell Hoult got injured right on half-time and conceded a penalty."

"We went to Tottenham at the end of last season and the lads did really well and got something there."
